Description

The Google Sitemap Generator is a Python script that creates a Sitemap for your site using the Sitemap Protocol. This script can create Sitemaps from URL lists, web server directories, or from access logs. It consists of a python script which can be run locally, or from your webserver which will allow you to create a valid XML sitemap file to then submit to Google via Webmaster Tools as well as Yahoo's Site Explorer. All that is needed is Python 2.2 or later installed and the ability to launch a terminal window to execute Python scripts. A simple configuration file controls what is spidered by the script, as well as the output path of the completed file.
