There’s a new web analytics player in the market. One that has some interesting features not found in any other analytics program available.
It’s name is reinvigorate and it offers a few features not found with other web based analytics packages.
Reinvigorate is still a beta product so you need an invitation. Getting an invitation is fairly simple, just go to their home page and click on “beta registration.” Provide the necessary information and within a couple days you should receive an invite.
Once you receive your invitation link, log in and provide your website details along with your preferred login. Then tag your pages and wait.
One feature which are seeing more of in many free analytics, is the ability to have multiple sites appear in one account. Reinvigorate also offers this ability. Plus it has an “access manager” where you can invite other users to view and/or manage your analytics.
I just got my invite so I tagged my pages and within a couple hours I was already seeing data. And while much of the data presented is slightly different than many other analytics packages it is nonetheless the same, except for a few features.
One nice feature, should you require it, is the ability to “name tag” your visitors. Name tagging allows integration with a user database so that you can follow specific users throughout the site, to see how they are using it.
For example, if your site is a blog that requires a person to log in to comment on entries, and you keep that login information, then you can allow reinvigorate to access that list of names and tag them with their names instead of a generated ID number.

When you first log in, and select the profile you wish to view, you are presented with a summary screen similar to this:

The summary provides you with a quick snapshot view of what is happening on your site.
While it does have a lot of the standard data and graphs, such as total visitors, page views, referrals etc. it does allow you to view those graphs in different ways, from the more typical bar graphs to interpolated and delta charts. There’s also an abundance of trending options which can help you “forecast” what your traffic may look like in the coming days, weeks and month.
There are so many graphing options that the average user might feel a little overwhelmed, but if you are a data junkie than reinvigorate will be right up your alley.
In addition to the multitude of graphing options, there are some other unique features.
For example, I like the integration with Google maps for geolocation. As this screenshot shows you can not only see where your site visitors are coming from but also details about them:

In addition to knowing exactly where they came from (both by looking on the map, but also be viewing the “location” tab) I can see more specific information – the users IP address as well as his operating system and web browser.
The “Latest Visitors” view is also unique in that it provides more detailed information than some commercial analytics:

Here we see details like screen resolution, browser type, operating system type, location, local time and more.
And then there is the latest unique feature of reinvigorate: Snoop.

As the reinvigorate website says: “Snoop streams website and blog events to you live, in real-time. Available for both Mac and PC.”
With a little extra javascript coding on certain pages you can be notified of many events including when a new user signs up, when a comment is posted, or when a purchase is made.
The Snoop client is currently only available for download for Mac or Windows, and you do need a reinvigorate account in order to use it.
YAFWAP – Yet Another Free Web Analytics Program
While this is still a beta project, I don’t see any real extra value that you can’t already find in other free analytics such as Google Analytics. That is because it currently doesn’t offer any advantage.
That being said, it will be worthwhile watching to see what new features (if any) it does come out with. For example, the desktop application has potential, however in its current form I feel that it will get annoying for some users to have it notifying you every time something happens on your site.
